Feedback and complaints

How to share your experience, raise a concern and find the appropriate response route.

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Tell us about your experience

We welcome compliments, suggestions and concerns. Raising a concern will not disadvantage your care. Please contact the practice about your consultation or practice administration so we can understand what happened and try to put matters right.

You do not need to complain in writing or use a form. Tell us what happened, when, and what you would like us to do. Someone can complain on your behalf; we will check their authority before sharing confidential information. Please tell us if you need help communicating your concern.

What happens next

We aim to acknowledge your concern within three working days and provide a full response normally within 20 working days. If more time is needed, we will explain why and give you an updated response date.

Professor Ilie is the practice contact responsible for responding to concerns. We will explain how your complaint will be reviewed and what further steps are available. Our response will explain the findings and any action taken. Complaint information is handled confidentially and shared only as needed to investigate and meet relevant duties. The full practice procedure is available on request.

Hospital services and further review

Concerns about Spire Cambridge Lea’s hospital services, such as nursing, facilities or hospital charges, follow Spire Healthcare’s complaints process ↗. We can help direct a concern or coordinate a response where both the practice and hospital are involved.

For concerns about hospital services at Spire Cambridge Lea, contact the hospital's patient experience team at cambridgehospcomplaints@spirehealthcare.com. If you remain unhappy after Spire's process, you may be able to ask ISCAS for an independent review.

Concerns about how we handle personal information can be raised with the Information Commissioner’s Office ↗. We acknowledge data-protection complaints within 30 days at the latest, begin appropriate enquiries without undue delay, keep you informed and explain the outcome without undue delay; our usual aim is the faster acknowledgement above. Concerns about a doctor’s fitness to practise can be raised with the General Medical Council ↗.

If you need urgent medical advice

Email and voicemail are not continuously monitored. After treatment, follow the urgent contact instructions provided by your hospital. For urgent medical advice use NHS 111; in a medical emergency call 999. Do not wait for the complaints process.
